‘A quick sketch One’ - 5th May 2021

Imagine…

I would like you to imagine one story,

One pleasant Sunday afternoon, you are
strolling around neighborhood. You don’t have much plan for the next
couple of hours, so you are kind of wandering around, in a relaxed mood under
the soft sun the day.

Somehow, you took the right turn, instead
of your usual and familiar street. And soon after you took the right turn, you
found a newly-open café gallery, which caught your curiosity.

You poke your nose into the inside of the
café gallery, wondering how it would look like, what is happening there, etc.

In there, one half of the space is sort of
seating area where several people enjoy their coffee and lunch. And the other
half is a gallery studio, which caught your eyes.

In the middle of the gallery studio, there
was a woman sitting on a chair as a model. She looks very attractive in a
mysterious way. Though you are simply looking inside from
the outside window, you are so moved by the way how she was sitting there and
something in her speaks to you.

There were already several people around
her, looking at her in a focused manner and absorbing themselves for sketching
her.

Then, you noticed that there was a notice
board saying,

‘You can join freely! Anyone WELCOME for a
drawing session!’

You thought, ‘OK! I will spend my time
sketching her. Let’s try!’

The first piece of paper you did, might
have been a struggle for you. You tried to draw as much detailed as possible,
so that you can absorb her fully and draw her accurately.

You ask yourself, ‘What is missing here?’
