‘Hide & seek - children with curious eyes’
‘The smooth sailing’ - 20th June 2020
I was encouraged by children with curious eyes on a number of occasions. If you are so into a ‘Play’ mode with them, you would forget anything, and simply could experience ‘living in the moment’. Living in the present is a game-changer, as the Buddha repeatedly was saying to us. In this sense, we can learn so much from them. Or say, they are here on the earth being like that to remind us how we used to be.
They would insist on their own ways stubbornly. They would ‘demand’ their ways with their full physical bodies when they are not fluent enough to communicate verbally. Though innocent enough to show caring and love toward us so straight. They would share their findings with us. A found peculiar stone from the street, the little yellow flower that was planted at the corner of the garden silently.
Hide & seek is my favorite. I would hide some packed sweets in strange places. They are clever enough not only listening to my words but staring at how my eyes drifting around here and there. Observing and giggling. So simple with them, as we can enjoy the process itself to discover, to find a treasure which meant to be a dream reality.
