‘Looking over the back’ - 3rd January 2021

The image she was staring at, the scenery seen over the back of her mother’s bicycle.

She would read the subtle changes in her familiar daily life and happily tell her mother.

How was her mother reacting to her stories and discoveries?

Her mother may have been in her thought quite often. She may have been listening to her childish story only abruptly,  buried in the busyness of everyday life.

From a child’s point of view, her mother’s shoulders looked sad in such a state, and seemed to be overdoing herself.

When the empty answer came back from her mother, she had no choice but to silence as a helpless little girl.

The little girl may have reported to the bear that she couldn’t tell her mother.

The bear was simply standing still as if he is the camera on the tripod as usual, but its presence was just dedicated to listening to the depth of love toward the little girl.
