A scent that would remind you of something precious.

A scent that would wake you up toward the warmness of your heart, where something made you moved or you would feel it but you don’t even know why you feel the way you feel.

When it is raining lightly, or after the rain, a particular scent comes from the earthly ground. In order to breathe the air with such a scent, I went all the way into the woods. You would be able to feel the nature very close. The scent of the woods in the moist air has something to remind me of my grandmother and my childhood memories. The scent of bamboo leaves would remind me of my grandmother’s handmade bamboo sushi. I remember playing hide-and-seek while messing up my rainboots with my cousins in the woods. I remember such trivial ordinary scenes, with fragmented visual images. 

Someday, you will forget everything.

Such words were whispered in my head.

Someday, you will forget everything.

Make a note of your memory. As if leaving a human
footprint of yourself in a way of life like a flowing river.
