‘How to detox the air ’

The yoga workshop was in the semi-basement of an ordinary 7-story condominium. Before I entered the studio, I was given a blindfold (the one you use when you would sleep on that airplane). What? The inside of the room was pitch black. I knew that there were some people just by the signs and sounds, but in fact, I didn’t even know how many people there were. If I didn’t know K, who is leading the workshop, I might have run away.
K said to me. ‘For the time being, look for your own place. you would have to move around a lot, so it’s better to secure enough space for yourself’ - Isn’t yoga that stretching exercise?
After that, some aggressive music of the drum & bass started to turn on, I blindfolded, and the workshop started. Along with the music, I heard the voices of various people. It was more than the simple expression of “hearing”. Moaning, screaming, angry, all sorts of rants. And sometimes crying. How could you say that far? There was a chorus of voices like a mass of frustration and anger. Simultaneously, there was a sign of kicking and punching the air.
At first, I felt a bit distant from what was happening there. If I was in an ordinary state, then I might have misjudged them as collectives of some kind of a weird religion. However, it was perfect for my mental state at that time. Blindfolded and not sure who is doing what. Everyone was acting rather mad!
‘OK! Here I am. In the middle of nowhere. I can be as loud as I can. So I decided to join them and started screaming and punching the air, all sorts of things that came up to my mind. Music also spurred that atmosphere. I didn’t know how much time had passed. Emotions are sometimes odd, not really explainable verbally, simply there like the weather. Before I knew it, the one-hour workshop was over, and at the end, for some reason, only “laughter” remained. I wanted to laugh without any reason, I wanted to laugh aloud.
With the blindfolds removed, everyone had a refreshing look in the light with the curtains open. They were all ordinary people. I mean, you would never imagine what would have been taking place there from the appearance of the people who were just standing there looking so fresh. After the session, I jumped into a nearby healthy cafe and drank about three glasses of freshly picked vegetable juice at once.
My body became “empty” and at the same time full of energy, and for some reason, I felt like I could do anything. I could understand why it was in the morning. Now, the day is about to start fresh. In short, any means can be used to cleanse the “black” from us. I experienced that.
Here are takeaways
1. Acknowledge your excess negative feeling within you, instead of avoiding to feel.
2. Move your body - releasing your acknowledged negativity, then naturally the positive air would flow into you, without reasoning, just feel it.
3. Believe that you would never know who knows who. It means, even when you feel like you are in a stuck situation, there is always a way out.
4. At the best of all, believe in yourself, your value. You do deserve to be. ‘how do you know what triggers you till facing the triggers’ - what seems to be the current issues might be only the reflection of your key toward the paradigm shift.
