“My bubbling thought”

“In the wind” - April 13th 2025

It’s been a long time since I’ve had precious time to face art.

Feeling exhausted after recovering from an illness, I felt like staying indoors.

But that was the feeling I had before leaving, and as I crossed the bridge to the art museum, I felt excited for the first time in a long time, feeling the sudden warmth of
the outside air. I wonder why I had forgotten this feeling.

In the quiet gallery with few people around, I slowly faced the world of paintings unfolding
before me.

“A lamp that a traveler sees in the far distance”

“A lamp that a traveler sees” - 17th July 2023

We had a particular ceremony that would have taken place on the old wooden seesaw at the children’s playground nearby. I and my cousins, only three of us, know about this ceremony and what it meant for us to act in it. It tested how far we could trust each other without knowing what was coming next.

I remember now what my dream was.

“The old creaking wooden floor”

“The old creaking wooden floor” - 5th July 2023

She was powerfully tapping rhythmically on the old, creaking wooden floor with her feet. The rhythm that her feet wove seemed like a drum, as if following lines drawn in the air. It seemed as if she was madly immersed in turning the hands of the clock. As if she claims to be in control of her life. It is as if she is claiming to be the one in control, the one who moves the hands of the clock.

Years later, images of her frantically pounding the floor came to mind. Something is speaking to me. She is getting courage from her attitude that is single-mindedly facing the change.
