‘Snap out of’ - 22nd September 2020

It might sound very abstract saying this, since possibly it has to do with my emotional level. This is a mystery about colour. Especially such a time like this contemporary era, we see those colours through the screen of the digital virtual world quite often. So I would ponder once in a while, was it such the colour when I took this photograph?, or was it this particular color that I envision?

And when I developed the photograph on a piece of a paper, it would make me wonder.

Which is which?

How did I want to create the particular vision?

‘The seeds of curiosity’ - 21st September 2020

By looking at those children, I am always impressed and inspired by how they are driven by their own instinct and act on it straight forward. Once something caught their attention, they touch it, put it into their own mouths, and check how soft it is, or how stiff it is, seem to analyze from every possible angle. Once they get bored, they abandon all activities. Though, if they love something, they would always try to stay with ‘it’’. Be with ‘it’ They show ‘it’ with their natural smile.

At the bottom down, there is a hint of such an attitude for finding what we love at our best through this abundance of the world. We tend to forget about this as we get older, by reasoning and by our rational thinking process.

As a starting point, even though nothing seems clear, even though no solid reasoning behind, even though you could explain only blurring, if something catches your attention, let’s try out, touch it, to see how you feel about it. Be excited into the unknown world that you would never have known before otherwise. Nurturing of the new seeds.

‘Abundance of the seeds’ - 21st September 2020

‘Staring at’ - 20th September 2020

When I was in the middle of the lockdown period in Manila Philippines a few months ago, a kind of special greeting ceremony became in fashion. Surely I and my son needed to stay home most of the time, only the chances that we were allowed to leave the apartment block were going to a supermarket once a week or limited to some essential outings. In such rare occasions, when we bumped into some people we know, we did this little greeting ceremony, 

‘Distance Hug!’ 

As we say, we pretended to give a hug to each other from a couple of meters away along with a Big Smily. 

There were ‘Smily’ banners and posters in the supermarket, in the lifts and along the corridors, saying that ‘especially now, even we cannot see your facial expression behind the masks, let’s give a smile to each other for caring! ‘

These little daily gestures make our surroundings in a harmonious shape, energetically I guess.
